“The launch of this mechanism marks an important step towards the consistent development of Uzbekistan-US relations,” Saidov wrote on his Telegram channel.

During the talks, the two sides exchanged views on the full and timely implementation of agreements reached by the leaders of both countries, as well as ways to expand trade and investment and strengthen cooperation in energy, critical minerals and advanced technologies.

Particular attention was also given to education, cultural and humanitarian ties, and security cooperation, Saidov said.

He expressed confidence that the dialogue would provide a solid foundation for strengthening mutual trust, advancing joint projects and implementing new initiatives within the framework of the strategic partnership.

Rubio is visiting Uzbekistan to participate in the C5+1 talks with foreign ministers from Central Asian countries. The diplomatic engagement is aimed at strengthening cooperation between Washington and the region.

Samarkand is also scheduled to host the second meeting of the US-Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council, providing another platform to discuss economic cooperation, investment opportunities and bilateral business ties.

The inaugural dialogue underscores the two countries’ efforts to deepen diplomatic engagement and expand cooperation across economic, technological, educational and security sectors.
