BRICS Traditional Values Forum to Convene in Brasilia, Focus on Culture, Cooperation, and Global Challenges

Brasilia, Brazil – From September 15 to 17, 2025, the Nereu Ramos Auditorium at the Brazilian National Congress will host the 2nd BRICS Traditional Values Forum, a high-level gathering of lawmakers, experts, and leaders from all BRICS countries. The event will center on shared traditional values while addressing pressing issues in culture, health, education, ethics, and artificial intelligence.

The forum is being organized by the BRICS Parliamentary Front at the National Congress in partnership with the Women BRICS Alliance, with institutional support from the World Association on Traditional Values (WATV). Its primary objective is to deepen multilateral cooperation and cultural ties among member states, while fostering dialogue on global challenges.

Key themes on the agenda include:

  • Preserving cultural identity and national sovereignty
  • Addressing global issues such as dedollarization, sustainable tourism, preventive health care, and technological innovation
  • Advancing climate commitments through concrete proposals for COP30, culminating in a final document emphasizing the role of BRICS in the global climate agenda and sustainable development

The program will feature a series of roundtables on innovative topics, including the use of blockchain in financial transactions, visa-free tourism among BRICS countries, and preventive health care strategies.

A major highlight will be the launch of the Peace Volunteers” platform, an initiative designed to support humanitarian projects and post-conflict reconciliation across BRICS nations.

The forum will conclude with a plenary session dedicated to COP30 proposals, with particular emphasis on renewable energy initiatives and environmental preservation, underscoring BRICS’s growing influence on the global sustainability agenda.

The forum will also feature distinguished speakers from Brazil, Russia, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Canada, France, and India, underscoring its global character and ensuring that perspectives from continents beyond the BRICS member countries are represented.
