National Voters Day : Prime Minister extends greetings on the occasion of National Voters Day
New Delhi, INDIA (DT) -The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has extended greetings on the occasion of National Voters Day.
The Prime Minister posted on X;
“Greetings on National Voters Day, an occasion which celebrates our vibrant democracy and also a day to encourage people to register as voters, if they haven’t already.
At 11 AM, I will address the Nav Matdata Sammelan, which will bring together first time voters from across India.”
In his remarks, he emphasized, “You have become an integral part of the democratic system by having your names registered in the voter list. Your enrollment coincides with a crucial period for our nation, known as its ‘Amrit Kaal’ or transformative phase.”
Modi underscored the responsibility of the new voters in contributing to the vision of a developed India by the year 2047. “You all have a significant opportunity to shape how your names will be remembered in the annals of a prosperous India. The pace, direction, and approach will be influenced by your decisions, with voting serving as a crucial medium,” he stated.
