The protesters voiced strong opposition to what they described as the “misrule” and “chaotic atmosphere” prevailing in West Bengal. Citing widespread violence, corruption, atrocities against women, and rising crime rates, the party alleged that the state government has completely failed to maintain law and order.

“The common citizens of West Bengal are living in fear. Political murders and daily violence have become the norm. Mamata Banerjee’s politics of appeasement and administrative negligence have plunged the state into complete anarchy,” said Dr. Vimal Sharma during the protest.

The Nationalist Youth Congress called on Mamata Banerjee to take responsibility for the current situation and demanded her immediate resignation as Chief Minister.
