Yerevan, Armenia – On Monday, President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan hosted Nilakshi Saha Sinha, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia, on the occasion of India’s National Holiday, Republic Day. The meeting was an opportunity to celebrate the longstanding friendship between Armenia and India.
President Khachaturyan congratulated Ambassador Sinha and the Indian people, wishing them peace and prosperity. He highlighted that Armenian-Indian relations have a rich history and are continuing to expand in various sectors. “Cooperation with India is one of the priority directions of Armenia’s foreign policy,” the President remarked.

Ambassador Sinha expressed gratitude for the warm reception and affirmed that the bilateral cooperation between Armenia and India has great potential for further growth.
During the discussion, both sides explored the current state and future prospects of Armenian-Indian relations, focusing on areas such as high technology, education, defense, and other key sectors. The parties also addressed ways to strengthen trade and economic relations, including the promotion of joint business forums and other initiatives to foster closer ties between the business communities of both nations.
President Khachaturyan reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to establishing sustainable peace in the region, emphasizing Armenia’s clear position on the matter.
