International Conclave for Peace Held at United Nations Headquarters in New York

New York, USA — The United Nations Headquarters in New York hosted the International Conclave for Peace, bringing together diplomats, international leaders, peace advocates, academics, social representatives and members of diverse communities to promote peace, dialogue, understanding and international cooperation.

Organized by the United Nations Global Peace Council (UNGPC) under the leadership of its President, Dr. Barkhaa Versha, the conclave provided a platform for discussion and reflection on some of the key challenges confronting the international community.

Recognitions Presented to Ambassador Luis Suárez Hernández

The conclave concluded with an awards and recognition ceremony attended by Ambassador Luis Suárez Hernández, philanthropist and President and Chief Executive Officer of the Suarez Museum of Natural Science and History, who served as a distinguished guest of honor.

During the ceremony, the United Nations Global Peace Council presented Dr. Luis Suárez Hernández with two trophies recognizing his contributions and commitment to society.

The first recognition, the United Nations Global Excellence Awards trophy, honored Dr. Suárez Hernández for his “sincere contribution and excellent achievement towards the growth of society in their respective fields.” The award acknowledged his work and contributions across various areas of social and humanitarian engagement.

The second recognition was dedicated to the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the global framework established to promote sustainable, inclusive and equitable development.

The SDGs represent a shared international commitment to advancing sustainable development and improving living conditions for present and future generations.

Ambassador Expresses Appreciation to Aruba Airlines

During the occasion, Ambassador Luis Suárez Hernández expressed his appreciation to Aruba Airlines for its collaboration over recent months in connection with his humanitarian initiatives and activities.

He highlighted the importance of cooperation between humanitarian initiatives and private-sector organizations in supporting projects that require coordination, resources and the participation of multiple stakeholders.
